Some balloons are big,
Some small.
Some balloons are bouncerous things,
Some barely float at all.
Some balloons are red,
Some blue.
Some balloons are full of hot air,
Some don't know what to do.
Some balloons shine bright,
Some hide.
Some balloons puff up proudly,
Some keep their shimmer inside.
Some balloons go far,
Some stay.
Some balloons drift off on purpose,
Some just floataway.
And one balloon…
the zig-zag one…
the one they always put back…
That balloon will surprise you
if you stop poking it.
Because balloons aren't born wonderful,
they're just waiting to be held…
and every single one,
even the wonky ones,
the ones not quite round...
they rise the moment
you stop trying
to flatten them.
And up they go.
Found.
