First: appreciate the introduction - nice to meet you. Second: thank you for offering a perspective that is so often, and perhaps intentionally, overlooked. Precisely for the reasons you lay out in your conclusion. People would rather be blind than complicit.

People tend to take the path of least resistance, AI reinforces that enormously.

But these are not trivial things you are giving away, the are core muscle memory. Judgement, diligence, learning from failure, ability to do anything without consulting AI first.

Sentience is the least of our worries.
